     George Everett Barner was born on Monday, 17 February 1896 at Susquehanna Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Absalom M. Barner and Sarah Ann Sheaffer. George married (1) Marion V. Kratzer, daughter of William E. Kratzer and Sarah Jane Kunes. George married (2) Laura Dorothy Weller, daughter of Samuel Weller and Laura Linn. He died due to Tuberculosis on Tuesday, 23 April 1974 at the age of 78 years, 2 months and 6 days at Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was buried on Friday, 26 April 1974 at Union Cemetery, Liverpool, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
