     William Stephen Kern was born on Monday, 18 March 1946 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of William Francis Kern and Vivian Sholder. William married, at the age of 22 Marilyn Cornelius, daughter of Lloyd E. Cornelius and Margaret Mathias, on Saturday, 1 June 1968 at Pine Street United Methodist Church, Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He died on Saturday, 18 July 1998 at the age of 52 years and 4 months.
