     George Franklin Barner Sr. was born on Monday, 13 October 1902 at Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of James Ellery Barner and Mary Caroline Beightol. George married, at the age of 24 Mae Maude Smith, age 19 on Thursday, 26 May 1927. He died on Wednesday, 3 January 1962 at the age of 59 years, 2 months and 21 days. He was buried at Arcacia Park Cemetery, Niagara Falls, Niagara County, New York.
