Charles Thomas Barner was born on Saturday, 5 September 1896 at Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of James Ellery Barner and Mary Caroline Beightol. Charles married Anna Lee. He died on Friday, 9 May 1958 at the age of 61 years, 8 months and 4 days. He was buried in Section 32, Site 730, at Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, DC.
