Katie Alice Barner was born on Tuesday, 17 March 1896 at Liverpool, Perry County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Samuel E. Barner and Annie L. Long. Katie married, at the age of 23 Rufus Ray Boyer, age 22, son of Franklin Boyer and Emma Jane [?], on Thursday, 17 July 1919. She died on Saturday, 23 August 1975 at the age of 79 years, 5 months and 6 days. She was buried at Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
