     Martin Luther Barner was born on Friday, 23 April 1886 at Pfoutz Valley, Perry County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Jacob Barner Jr. and Margaret Alice Deckard. He went by Luther. Martin married (1) Orpha E. [?]. Martin married (2), at the age of 22 Dora Joanna Markley, age 23, daughter of Jonathan I. Markley and Amanda [?], on Thursday, 6 August 1908 at Freemont, Perry Township, Snyder County, Pennsylvania. He died on Tuesday, 8 July 1958 at the age of 72 years, 2 months and 15 days. He was buried at Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
