Catharine C. Barner was born on Sunday, 26 March 1871. She was the daughter of Enoch Barner and Rebecca Kerchner. Catharine married, at the age of 23 John Calvin Thompson on Tuesday, 26 February 1895. She died in 1965 at the age of 93 years. She was buried at Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
