Alma Althea Downing was born on Thursday, 27 September 1855 at Venango County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Samuel Downing and Nancy Ross. Alma married George Barner Wilt, son of Jacob Wilt and Margaret Miller, before 1878 at Pennsylvania. She died on Tuesday, 6 February 1934 at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 10 days at Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. She was buried in lot G 65, at Fairview Cemetery, Vincennes, Knox County, Indiana.
