Jacob Wilt was born on Saturday, 17 January 1824 at Union County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of George Wilt and Mary Wiker. Jacob married (1), at the age of 25 Margaret Miller, age 19, daughter of Tobias F. Miller and Catherine Schnure, on Thursday, 15 November 1849 at Venango County, Pennsylvania. Jacob married (2) Matilda Magdalena Ferringer, daughter of John Ferringer and Matalina [?], after 1883. He died on Thursday, 16 February 1899 at the age of 75 years and 30 days at Cranberry Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania.
