Robert Hayes Barner was born on Saturday, 27 June 1903 at Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Edward Hayes Barner and Marie Belle Croyle. Robert married, at the age of 24 May Elizabeth Kissell, age 25, daughter of John Kissell and Alice Hoffman, on Monday, 14 November 1927 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He died on Friday, 26 November 1948 at the age of 45 years, 4 months and 30 days at Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio. He was buried on Monday, 29 November 1948 at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Dunnstable Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
