     Ruth Elizabeth Pitcairn was born on Friday, 5 September 1919. She was the daughter of Robert Norman Pitcairn and Florence Margaret Barner. Ruth married, at the age of 21 John M. Apple, age 20 in July 1941. She died on Monday, 20 June 2011 at the age of 91 years, 9 months and 15 days at Monroeville, Patton Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. She was buried on Saturday, 25 June 2011 at Brush Creek Cemetery, Irwin, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
