Sherman married, at the age of 24 Geraldine Marie Fronk, age 21, daughter of Thomas D. Fronk and Cora M. [?], on Friday, 23 May 1924 at Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He died on Monday, 26 June 1978 at the age of 78 years, 2 months and 5 days. He was buried on Thursday, 29 June 1978 at Jersey Shore Cemetery, Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
