     Robert Daniel Barner was born on Wednesday, 30 October 1895 at Woodward Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of John William Franklin Barner and Rebecca nmi Vonada. Robert married, at the age of 23 Olive May Sutton, age 21 on Tuesday, 13 May 1919. He died on Tuesday, 7 March 1967 at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 7 days. He was buried at Union Cemetery, Woodward, Haines Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
