Raymond Ritter Maurer was born on Friday, 13 January 1899 at Buffalo Township, Union County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Elmer Maurer and Edna Ritter. Raymond married, at the age of 25 Laura May Meixell, daughter of Edwin Clinger Meixell and Nora Irene Keyser, on Saturday, 23 August 1924 at East Lewisburg, West Chillisquaque Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. He died in November 1967 at the age of 68 years and 9 months.
