Forrest married, at the age of 30 Margaret Ellen Miller on Wednesday, 24 April 1940 at Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He died on Sunday, 22 June 2008 at the age of 98 years, 2 months and 24 days at Lock Haven Hospital Extended Care Unit, Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He was buried on Wednesday, 25 June 2008 at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Cedar Hill, Lamar Township (near Mill Hall), Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
