     Richard Otis Douty was born on Friday, 11 August 1905 at Wilkinsburg, Wilkins Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Howard Martin Douty and Susan Della Billman. Richard married, at the age of 19 Helen Anna Sauter, age 19, daughter of Joseph Sauter, on Tuesday, 12 August 1924 at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He died in February 1982 at the age of 76 years and 5 months.
