Leroy married Bertha Mae Gunsallus, daughter of Arthur Dorwin Gunsallus and Mary E. [?]. He died on Thursday, 27 March 2003 at the age of 90 years, 9 months and 20 days at Susque-View Home, Lock Haven, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He was buried on Friday, 30 May 2003 at Hublersburg Cemetery, Walker Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
