George Absalom Barner was born on Monday, 4 September 1893 at Oriental, Susquehanna Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Collinson Barner and Emma Dietz. George married, at the age of 27 Helen Ruchti, daughter of Frank Ruchti and Agnes [?], on Tuesday, 19 July 1921. He died on Wednesday, 16 March 1960 at the age of 66 years, 6 months and 12 days at Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
