Sarah Adell Hafer was born on Thursday, 30 July 1857 at Michigan. She was the daughter of Samuel Hafer and Matilda Shipman. Sarah married, at the age of 25 Samuel Young Bower, age 24, son of Samuel Bower and Elizabeth Brungart, on Thursday, 30 November 1882 at Colon Township, St. Joseph County, Michigan. She died on Thursday, 6 October 1932 at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 6 days at Constantine Village, St. Joseph County, Michigan. She was buried at Lakeside Cemetery, Colon Township, St. Joseph County, Michigan.
