Erma Grace Berry was born on Saturday, 28 August 1886 at Loganton, Greene Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of John Curtin Berry and Anna Minerva Barner. Erma married Ralph Girard Stevenson in 1908 at Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. She died on Thursday, 25 March 1982 at the age of 95 years, 6 months and 25 days at Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida. She was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, St Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida.
