     Dervin Cleveland Barner was born on Monday, 5 December 1892 at Knousetown, Monroe Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Collinson Barner and Emma Dietz. Dervin married, at the age of 23 Catherine Seaman, age 23, daughter of George C. Seaman and Mary Elizabeth Stroup, on Wednesday, 6 September 1916 at Lutheran Church, Mifflintown, Fermanagh Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania, by the Rev. E. M. Morgan. He died due to Myocardial failure related to Atherosclerotic heart disease on Tuesday, 6 February 1979 at 3:55pm at Mercy Hospital, Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania, at age 86 years, 2 months and 1 day. He was buried on Friday, 9 February 1979 at Carson Valley Church Cemetery, Allegheny Township, Blair County, Pennsylvania.
