He died on Wednesday, 25 February 2004 at the age of 93 years, 3 months and 5 days at The Windsor Place, Columbus, Lowndes County, Mississippi. He was buried on Saturday, 28 February 2004 at Friendship Cemetery, Columbus, Lowndes County, Mississippi.
