     Clayton Barner Gelnett was born on Tuesday, 2 November 1909 at Pfoutz Valley, Perry County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Milton Gelnett and Gertrude Pearl Barner. Clayton married Ruth Minerva Kauffman, daughter of William Kauffman and Ida M. Schucht. He died on Friday, 1 March 1996 at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 28 days at Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
