     Richard Long Barner was born on Thursday, 15 June 1911 at Webster City, Hamilton County, Iowa. He was the son of George Stewart Barner and Romayne Hertzler Brenneman Strickler. Richard married (1) Carolyn Louise Barnitz. Richard married (2), at the age of 33 Geneva Arline Ingram on Sunday, 15 April 1945 at Minburn, Dallas County, Iowa. He died on Tuesday, 14 October 2008 at the age of 97 years, 3 months and 29 days.
