     Melva Bailey was born on Sunday, 19 February 1911 at Dubois, Sandy Township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania. Melva married, at the age of 20 Dorsey Barner Gruver, age 22, son of Frank Gruver and Florence Amanda Carrie Barner, on Saturday, 6 February 1932 at New Kensington, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. She died on Tuesday, 21 March 2006 at the age of 95 years, 1 month and 2 days at San Leandro, Alameda County, California. Her ashes were interred at Oakwood Memorial Park, Chatsworth, Los Angeles County, California.
