     Ira Nelson Barner was born on Friday, 30 March 1917 at Salona, Lamar Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Nelson Ira Barner and Ethel Ellen Buchanan. Ira married, at the age of 20 Ruth Elaine Griesser, age 17 on Saturday, 1 January 1938 at Pekin, Tazewell County, Illinois. He died at 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, 13 August 2005 at the age of 88 years, 4 months and 14 days at Pekin Manor, Pekin, Tazewell County, Illinois. He was buried on Tuesday, 16 August 2005 at Glendale Memorial Gardens, Pekin, Tazewell County, Illinois.
