     George Dervin Barner was born on Tuesday, 7 April 1914. He was the son of John Dervin Barner and Sylvia Catharine Stroupe. George married, at the age of 24 Charlotte Margaret Glotfelter, age 21, daughter of Austin Peter Glotfelter and Della Zeiders, on Saturday, 4 June 1938. He died on Friday, 20 February 1981 at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 13 days at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, East Buffalo Township, Union County, Pennsylvania. He was buried on Monday, 23 February 1981 at Salem United Methodist Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
