Joseph Philip Marcelonis was born on Friday, 15 July 1910 at Pittston, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. Joseph married, at the age of 27 Mary Caroline Gunsallus, age 22, daughter of Harry Harris Gunsallus and Mabel Mae Barner, on Saturday, 30 October 1937 at Cumberland, Allegany County, Maryland. He died on Monday, 24 June 1968 at the age of 57 years, 11 months and 9 days at Altoona, Blair County, Pennsylvania. He was buried Section Annex Site E-9, at Gettysburg National Cemetery, Gettysburg, Cumberland Township, Adams County, Pennsylvania.
