     Daniel Barner was born on Sunday, 28 April 1844 at Carroll, Greene Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Henry Barner and Catharine Kern. Daniel married, at the age of 24 Catharine Engle, age 22 on Sunday, 6 September 1868. He died on Saturday, 7 April 1928 at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 10 days at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Eastville, Greene Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
