He was the son of William Henry Light and Alice Catharine Barner. Joseph married (1) Mae [?]. Joseph married (2), at the age of 27 May Agnes Cejmer in May 1926. Joseph married (3) Frances Shulick. He died on Thursday, 20 February 1986 at the age of 86 years, 11 months and 28 days. He was buried at Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
