Sarah Catherine Caldwell was born on Thursday, 18 February 1909 at McKees Rocks, Stowe Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of William H. Coldwell and Mary C. Hall. Sarah married Earl Thomas Barner, son of Thomas Jefferson Barner and Ida Bernice Johnson Garrett. She died on Tuesday, 28 June 1988 at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 10 days at Centre Community Hospital, State College, Centre County, Pennsylvania. She was buried at Zion Cemetery, Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
