Frederick Edward Straup was born on Wednesday, 24 February 1904 at Lydick, Warren Township, St. Joseph County, Indiana. He was the son of Jacob Edward Straup and Lillian May Ross. Frederick married, at the age of 22 Eva Fern Walz, age 20 on Tuesday, 28 December 1926 at South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana. He died on Monday, 14 April 1986 at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 21 days. He was buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana.
