Lillian May Ross was born on Saturday, 9 March 1867 at Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. She married, at the age of 25, Jacob Edward Straup, age 25, son of Daniel B. Stroup and Susannah Ann Barner, on Friday, 10 February 1893 in his sisters home at Chicago, Illinois. She died on Friday, 27 August 1926 at the age of 59 years, 5 months and 18 days. She was buried at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana.
