     Cordelia Straup was born on Thursday, 11 February 1897 at Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah. She was the daughter of Daniel Newton Stroup and Adele Lindley. Cordelia married, at the age of 25 Judge Arthur James Mays, age 28, son of James Henry Mays and Sarah Elizabeth Randels, on Wednesday, 5 July 1922. She died on Wednesday, 10 January 1990 at the age of 92 years, 10 months and 30 days.
