Gifford Monroe Troutman was born on Monday, 25 May 1908 at Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of George Richard Troutman and Alice A. Forney. His nickname was Skip. Gifford married, at the age of 30 Florence Viall, age 28, daughter of Joseph L. Viall and Gertrude Frey, on Saturday, 30 July 1938. He died on Saturday, 18 August 2001 at the age of 93 years, 2 months and 24 days at Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield, Centre Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at Pfoutz Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery, Millerstown RR 2, Greenwood Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
