Boston Elmer Barner was born on Saturday, 11 July 1868 at Oriental, Susquehanna Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Joseph L. Barner and Sarah Elizabeth House. Boston married, at the age of 27 Fannie May Howard, age 22 on Wednesday, 13 May 1896. He died on Wednesday, 23 June 1948 at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 12 days at Sioux Falls, Minnehaha County, South Dakota. He was buried at Parkston, Hutchinson County, South Dakota.
