Charles married (1) Elizabeth Getz. Charles married (2), at the age of 45 Wilhelmina Edith Barner, age 37, daughter of William Lohr Barner and Barbara Anna Bierly, on Saturday, 15 June 1940 at Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He died on Sunday, 2 August 1964 at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 10 days. He was buried at Saint John (Zeigler) Cemetery, Woolrich, Pine Creek Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
