     George Edward Barner was born on Monday, 28 March 1853 at Liverpool, Perry County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Henry L. Barner and Maria Went. George married Catherine E. Bitting. He died on Saturday, 12 January 1884 at the age of 30 years, 9 months and 15 days at Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
