     George C. Seaman was born on Thursday, 7 November 1839 at Perry Township, Union County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Noah Seaman and Catherine Gordon. George married Mary Elizabeth Stroup, daughter of John H. Stroup and Mary Heiser. He died on Sunday, 13 November 1892 at the age of 53 years and 6 days at Richfield, Monroe Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at Old Pine Cemetery, West Perry Township, Snyder County, Pennsylvania.
