     Mary Ellen Barner was born on Monday, 17 November 1862 at Sangamon, Dawson Township, Macon County, Illinois. She was the daughter of Michael Barner and Martha Ann Mohn. She went by Ellen. Mary married, at the age of 19 William Henry Overy, age 24 on Wednesday, 1 February 1882. She died in 1940 at the age of 77 years. She was buried in section J, lot 43, plot 3, at Belle Plaine Cemetery, Belle Plaine, Sumner County, Kansas.
