     Leslie Taft Barner was born on Tuesday, 27 October 1908 at Richfield, Monroe Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of John Gleovlin Barner and Maizie I. Naylor. Leslie married Josephine Elizabeth Wagner, daughter of John Emerson Wagner and Ida Odessa Heeter, in 1931. He died on Thursday, 27 June 1968 at the age of 59 years and 8 months at Mahoning Township, Montour County, Pennsylvania. He was buried at Richfield Cemetery, Richfield, Monroe Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania.
