     Joseph House Meiser was born on Monday, 27 February 1860 at Oriental, Susquehanna Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Frederick Meiser and Martha House. Joseph married, at the age of 22 Ida Pamela Light, age 20, daughter of Levi Light and Elizabeth Ann Barner, on Sunday, 7 May 1882 at Oriental, Susquehanna Township, Pennsylvania. He died on Saturday, 12 March 1932 at the age of 72 years and 14 days at Scio, Linn County, Oregon.
