     Michael Sylvester Barner was born on Tuesday, 25 November 1856 at Oriole, Limestone Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Israel Barner and Mary A. Fedderhoof. Michael married, at the age of 21 Annie M. Koons, age 17 on Tuesday, 25 December 1877. He died on Monday, 7 March 1932 at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 11 days at his sons home at Sunbury, Upper Augusta Township, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. He was buried on Wednesday, 9 March 1932 at Jersey Shore Cemetery, Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
