     Wesley Edward Barner was born on Wednesday, 5 October 1898 at Antes Fort, Nippenose Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Matthew S. Barner and Annie Hauser. He died on Monday, 19 May 1919 at the age of 20 years, 7 months and 14 days. He was buried on Wednesday, 21 May 1919 at Jersey Shore Cemetery, Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
