Johannes H. Barner was born on Monday, 19 April 1830. He was the son of Henry Barner and Catharine Kern. He died on Tuesday, 14 April 1903 at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 26 days. He was buried at Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Eastville, Greene Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania.
