Mary Douty

Female, b. 12 May 1804, d. 19 June 1865
     Mary Douty was born on Saturday, 12 May 1804 at Liberty Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania. Mary married John Adam Kreitz. She died on Monday, 19 June 1865 at the age of 61 years, 1 month and 7 days at Greene Township, Clinton County, Pennsylvania. She was buried in an old orchard on their property, said property to pass to a daughter foe keeping them in their old age and for burying them there with markers. The orchard is gone, the apple tree under which several descendants have said they saw their markers. The markers are gone now. A search of the area revealed no visable graves or markers anywhere. Today the orchard is dug out for shale, but no graves as fas as can be determined, have been found.
