Charles Absalom Barner was born in 1916 at Richfield, Monroe Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of John Absalom Barner and Melinda Irene Woolridge Smith. Charles married Marjorie Elvira Miller Hawkins, age 25 on Saturday, 25 September 1943 at Clinton County, Pennsylvania. He died in 1968 at the age of 52 years. He was buried at Jersey Shore Cemetery, Jersey Shore, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
