Jacob Barner Jr. was born on Sunday, 25 May 1851. He was the son of Jacob Barner and Elizabeth Wagner. Jacob married, at the age of 25 Margaret Alice Deckard, age 19, daughter of John Deckard III., on Sunday, 6 August 1876 at Oriental, Susquehanna Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He died on Tuesday, 29 January 1929 at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 4 days. He was buried at Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
