Leroy Elwood Barner was born on Tuesday, 30 May 1922 at Richfield RD, Monroe Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Stanley Cyrus Barner Sr. and Lillian Mae Sheaffer. Leroy married, at the age of 23 Helen Victoria Dakat-quick Trimble Morgan, age 26, daughter of Richard E. Morgan and Emily Lucy Barton, on Saturday, 8 September 1945 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. He died surrounded by family about1 p.m. on Wednesday, 4 August 2010 at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 5 days at his home at Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan.
