     Lillian Mae Sheaffer was born on Sunday, 20 March 1904 at Oriental, Susquehanna Township, Juniata County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Edward Clay Sheaffer and Alice Lydia Frymoyer. Lillian married, at the age of 17 Stanley Cyrus Barner Sr., age 22, son of Isaac Newton Barner and Susan Sarah Zaring, on Saturday, 4 February 1922. In addition to being husband and wife, Lillian and Stanley were also second cousins one time removed. She died at 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, 27 December 1992 at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 7 days at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. She was buried on Wednesday, 30 December 1992 at Barner's (Saint John's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Liverpool RD 1, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
